Il disco della maturità dei MMB che si esprime attraverso una selezione di reinterpretazioni di gemme musicali del panorama country, che spaziano dai traditional rappresentati dallo spiritual (“Mary don’t you weep”), al gospel (“Life’s railway to heaven”), dalla mountain song di Gillian Welch (“Caleb Mayer”), alla ballata dark di Bob Dylan (“The death is not the end”), fino a reinterpretare il country del movimento outlaw di Waylon Jennings di “Just good ol boys” (theme song del telefilm “Dukes of Hazzard”). Non possono mancare ovviamente il Johnny Cash di "I walk the line", il John Denver di "Take me home country roads" fino ai Credence di "Who'll stop the rain". Parafrasando il titolo, si tratta ancora una volta di un viaggio metaforico che la band intraprende a bordo di una Cadillac d'annata, dalle radici della musica country fino ad arrivare ai giorni nostri con una sapiente reinterpretazione di alcune gemme nascoste della tradizione folk country, unite ad hits conosciute anche dal grande pubblico.

This the maturity’s record of the MISMOUNTAINBOYS country & bluegrass band that contains a list of pure and crystalline country hits. You can find some traditionals like the spiritual “Mary don’t you weep”, the gospel “Life’s railway to heaven”, the Gillian Welch mountain song “Caleb Mayer”, the Dylan’s dark ballad “The death is not the end” and the outlaw tune “Just good ol boys” by Waylon Jennings (theme of the “Dukes of Hazzard“ tv movie of the 80’s).
Other tunes included in the record are famous hits like “I walk the line” by J.R. Cash, “Take me home country roads” by John Denver and last but not least the CCR song “Who stop the rain”.
Across The Country is like a journey, driving an old Cadillac, through the different styles of the country music starting from the roots to our days.

Attivi dal 2005, The Mismountainboys (tradotto “i ragazzi del Monte Misma”) sono la band che sta cavalcando spedita nel circuito country & western italiano proponendo un repertorio musicale a stelle e strisce, che spazia dalle ballate tradizionali western fino ad arrivare al country odierno, toccando tutti gli stili con le relative influenze ed umori musicali provenienti dal profondo sud e dagli stati centrali rurali degli States. La proposta musicale spazia dal suono tex/mex a quello cajun delle paludi della Louisiana, dalla velocità del bluegrass a quello della canzone d'autore texana, dal country classico a quello urbano, dell'hillbilly al new country.

The six components of the band started in 2005 in the North Italy, where it is based, producing year by year five records and and an impressive ten year long never end tour. They cover all the aspects and colours of the country music starting from the old western ballads and the hillbilly music of the 30s to the country classic sound of 60s up to the outlaw movement of the 70s. Every style is covered: bluegrass, cajun, texas sound, country folk and mainstream country. This is a spicy country melting pot not easy to find on the market!
